CareTempo Text Messaging Terms of Service
Last updated: August 6, 2026
These Text Messaging Terms of Service (the “SMS Terms”) govern your participation in the CareTempo text messaging program operated by BetterRX, LLC (“BetterRX”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). CareTempo is a visit-coordination service that BetterRX provides to home health and hospice agencies. These SMS Terms supplement, and do not replace, the CareTempo Privacy Policy. By providing your mobile phone number to your care agency, you agree to receive transactional text messages as described below.
-
Program Description. The CareTempo text messaging program is a transactional messaging service that notifies a patient’s designated caregivers and family contacts when a clinician has departed for a scheduled visit. A message takes the form: “{Agency name}: Your clinician is on their way. Reply STOP to opt out.” The program is transactional only — we do not send marketing, promotional, or solicitation messages, and we do not send appointment marketing, surveys, or fundraising.
-
Eligibility and Consent. The program is available only to caregivers and family contacts designated by a patient’s care agency, age 18 or older, with mobile numbers issued by carriers operating in the United States. Consent is collected by your care agency at the time your contact record is created or updated, and is recorded against that record. By providing your mobile number to the agency, you represent that the number belongs to you and that you have authority to consent on its behalf.
-
Message Frequency. Message frequency varies and is determined entirely by the patient’s visit schedule. You will receive at most one message per visit, sent only when a clinician departs for that visit. There is no recurring cadence and no scheduled marketing send.
-
Costs. Neither BetterRX nor your care agency charges a fee to receive these text messages. Message and data rates may apply based on your wireless plan. Contact your wireless carrier for information about your messaging plan.
-
Opt-Out (STOP). You may opt out of all CareTempo text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT are honored the same way. After we receive your request you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts from this program. To resume messages, reply START, YES, or UNSTOP. You may also opt out by asking your care agency to remove your number or mark you as do-not-contact.
-
Help (HELP). For help with our messaging program, reply HELP to any message, contact your care agency, or contact BetterRX support at the information below.
-
Carrier and Delivery Disclaimer. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. BetterRX is not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by your wireless carrier, your device, network availability, or any factor outside our reasonable control. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and others. Supported carriers may change without notice.
-
Not for Emergencies. This messaging program is a courtesy notification only. Do not use it to request care, report a change in a patient’s condition, or communicate an emergency. Replies other than the consent keywords listed above are not monitored and will not reach your care agency. In an emergency, call 911. For clinical questions, contact your care agency directly.
-
Privacy. Information collected as part of the text messaging program is handled in accordance with the CareTempo Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
-
Changes to These SMS Terms. We may revise these SMS Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when they were last updated. Your continued participation in the messaging program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
-
Termination. BetterRX may suspend or terminate the text messaging program, or any participant’s access to it, at any time and for any reason, including to comply with applicable law or carrier requirements. Your care agency may also stop sending you messages at its own discretion.
-
Governing Law. These SMS Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions.
